Accessibility and Section 508 compliance

In the world of audio production, the term 508 compliance is commonly used when talking about making internet delivered content available to people with disabilities. As you are developing an audio production, take a moment to consider that some of the people who are interested in the content may have a hearing disability. We have found that providing a plain ASCII text transcript along with the audio recording can can open the content to a greater audience.

The Federal Government's website on section 508 is a good place to find all the background and additional resources to help make your project more accessible.
